GreenCheck

Terms of Service

Last updated October 30, 2026

These terms are an agreement between GreenCheck POS ("GreenCheck", "we") and the business that signs up for it ("you"). By creating an account, starting a subscription or using GreenCheck POS, you agree to them.

1. The service

GreenCheck POS is software for running a restaurant: taking orders, kitchen and other screens, card payments, staff, reports and a restaurant website. It runs on the web, on desktop computers, and as apps for phones and tablets.

2. Your account

You are responsible for your account, the people you give access to (including staff PINs), and what is done with them. Keep your password and PINs private, and tell us at once if you think someone else is using your account.

3. Subscription and device slots

Each restaurant has its own monthly subscription, made of slots: a Take order slot for each device that takes orders, and a display slot for each other screen that runs GreenCheck (such as a kitchen, server or customer display, time clock, check-in kiosk or waitlist). Browser tabs count like any other device. Printers, cash drawers and scanners don't need a slot.

A slot isn't tied to one device. A device given a role uses a free slot of that kind, and taking the role off frees it for another device. When every slot of a kind is in use, add a slot in Billing first. You can add or remove slots at any time. Changes are prorated and appear on your next bill.

Prices are shown in Billing before you subscribe. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing them.

4. Paying for the subscription

The first month is paid by card when you subscribe, and the subscription renews every month until you cancel it. If you agree to it in Billing, each renewal is taken from your restaurant's Stripe account balance. In that case, you authorize GreenCheck POS to debit your Stripe account balance for any amount owed for recurring charges arising from your use of GreenCheck POS's services, pursuant to GreenCheck POS's website and these terms. When the balance can't cover a bill, it is charged to the card on file instead. If a bill stays unpaid, we may limit the service until it's paid.

5. Card payments

Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your restaurant has its own Stripe account and agrees to Stripe's terms when it connects. Stripe charges its own processing fees. GreenCheck may add a fee per card payment as agreed with you, and Stripe collects it from each payment. If you turn on dual pricing, card prices are higher than cash prices by the rate shown in Settings. You are responsible for showing both prices to your guests and for following the card networks' rules and the law where you operate. Refunds and chargebacks are between you, your guests and Stripe.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel any time in Billing. The service continues until the end of the month you've paid for, and we don't refund partial months. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or is used for fraud.

7. Your data

Your menus, orders, sales, staff and guest information belong to you. We use them only to provide and improve the service, keep them secure, and don't sell them. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never stored by GreenCheck.

8. Acceptable use

Don't use GreenCheck for anything unlawful, to process payments for goods or services Stripe doesn't allow, or to interfere with the service or other customers.

9. No warranty, and limits on liability

We work hard to keep GreenCheck available and correct, and it is built to keep working when the internet doesn't, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will never fail. To the extent the law allows, GreenCheck isn't liable for indirect or lost-profit damages. Our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a significant change we'll tell you by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Using GreenCheck after that means you accept the new terms.
